Our staff loves when a sack of burritos from Tehuana Oaxacan Cuisine shows up at the shop. Manny at Tehuana operates one of the best food carts in Portland and we absolutely love it. For our newest shirt we asked local artist and all around cool guy Roger Hudnut to design us a shirt including scooters and this fabulous place to get delicious fresh Mexican food. Then we had Bob at Inknife print them for us and the result is something we’re all stoked on.

Friends of Vespa Portland is back! And we have a cool heavily customized Vespa GTS Super Sport to show you that is owned by our friend Brook Rice. When Brook isn’t having us mod the absolute hell out of his bike he carves pumpkins for The Pumpkin Display at West Linn and leads an annual Haunted Scooter Ride around the Portland area.

Sandy Hut 100th Anniversary Ride

The 27th annual Spring Scoot rally begins on May 19th! Join Twist & Play and many other scooter riders for Portland’s biggest scooter event of the year. Check out the itinerary below. We’ll see you there!

Kyle taking us on a classic Spring Scoot blaster ride, Gus and Ethan are taking an easier in-town route for bikes of all sizes. The first day of winter is only a few days away and you know what that means! Our favorite event is back for the FIFTH year in a row; the fifth annual Winter Riders Challenge!

WHAT IS IT?

The rider with the most miles ridden between December 21st, 2022 and March 20th, 2023 will win some awesome prizes. The rider with the second most miles will also win a prize.

This year we will have all engine sizes in the same category. Everyone who rides a 50cc and up is welcome to participate.

HOW DO I GET SIGNED UP SO I CAN BEAT EVERYONE?

Send us a picture of your odometer on Wednesday, December 21st, on Facebook, email us at info@vespaportland.com, or text us at 503-222-3779. You can start the challenge after December 21st if you choose, but you’ll be starting at a disadvantage.

HOW DO I TRACK MY PROGRESS?

As often as you’d like, check in with us to have your total miles updated. You can either stop by Vespa Portland or send us an updated photo on Facebook Messenger, email or text. We’ll post standings periodically throughout the winter to show who is on top!

RIDE RESPONSIBLY

While enjoying this friendly yet likely chilly competition, please note that we do not recommend anyone ride in snowy or icy conditions and that caution should be exercised while riding in cold conditions in general. Vespa Portland is not liable for any damages or injuries that may result from participating in the Winter Riders Challenge.

Final odometer readings must be given to Vespa Portland by March 20th, 2023 to be counted toward the final mileage totals. Due to the nature of the competition, no grace period after March 20th can be allowed.

No purchase necessary. The competition is open to all modern and vintage scooter riders in the Portland, OR area.

Vespa Portland staff will also be riding in the competition but are not eligible to win.
